Walking, the best therapeutic exercise

Our body is prepared to move and not to remain static.

After a period of time in which confinement at home has reduced our mobility, we have been able to confirm the need and importance for our health of moving and exercising regularly.

And our body is prepared to move and not to remain static. With a sedentary lifestyle, discomfort and ailments of a muscular and joint nature appear that can limit our daily activity.

A good way to fight against a sedentary lifestyle and stay active is to walk 30 to 45 minutes a day since there are many benefits that we can obtain from this exercise:

It improves the cardiovascular system, reducing the risk of suffering from hypertension or heart disease, in addition to strengthening our lungs.
Improves the musculoskeletal system by strengthening bones and muscles.

It improves our mental health, helping us maintain a better state of mind and reducing the risk of suffering from stress or anxiety.
We must add that in addition to being a healthy habit, its practice is extremely easy since it does not require facilities or practically any material to be able to practice it, beyond appropriate footwear.

It must be noted that walking is not the same as strolling, since the objective is to improve our body. So we will have to take into account the distance, time and pace at which we walk.

In the case of suffering an injury or pathology, it is advisable to visit a doctor or go to a physiotherapist, so that he or she can tell us the most correct way to perform therapeutic exercise.
